about Our taiko lessons

Nakai Sensei teaches classes 6 days a week, all year long. Dragon Beat's style of taiko is often described as energetic and fast-paced. You can expect to learn a blend of traditional Japanese taiko arrangements such as our own version of Chichibu Yatai Bayashi as well as Nakai Sensei's Shunrai. Some lessons are focused on rhythm, while others are focused on form and performance.

Classes are taught using a mix of Japanese and English, but are primarily in Japanese. Don't let that discourage you if you don't speak Japanese, though! There is always help available in English.

Children's classes
